Revenue Protection
Protecting revenue is of fundamental importance to train operators, yet can be a challenging and divisive issue, often characterised by a lack of understanding of the best approach, and a tension between enforcement and customer service.
Members of TIL’s Board and management team have decades of proven revenue protection experience, having played a leading role in projects including the pioneering of self-service ticket machines, developing and introducing penalty fares and establishing the use of private prosecutions in magistrates’ courts.
We are experienced in supporting TOCs and their staff in addressing the challenges presented by revenue protection, as well as being adept at recognising and responding to patterns of passenger behaviour.
